How to use:
1. The script always processes Footnote References in the main text. Check 'Process Footnote Text' if you want to clean the actual footnotes at the bottom of the page.
2. Select the type of brackets to remove.
3. Click 'Remove' to clean the extra brackets around the footnote numbers. This script catches flipped, duplicated, or mixed brackets like ((1))( or )(1)( without affecting brackets that belong to adjacent text, and preserves the spaces separating the footnote from the text.
